 There are three categories of relationships that we will encounter as we matriculate through life: relationships that refine you, relationships that redefine you, or relationships that retard you. While we often place the onus on the other person for how the relationship will play out, the determining factor in the quality of our relationship with others is the quality of the relationship we have with ourselves.

 As you journey through the chapters of this book reflecting and ruminating on events and experiences within past relationships you’ll reach the point of realizing that in order to change what’s around, I have to first change what’s within.
